REVIEW: Cannibal Corpse - Torture (Explicit) CD

Some good old death metal.. that's what we are missing :)

(Well this lot look a little scary down that alley, but I would still love a chance to bump into them)

We have waited for three years for another one of their albums, and now we have it. This will be their 12th album! I first started listening to them after seeing one of their interesting album artworks, and really enjoyed what I heard. The songs that they write tell stories of some really violent scenes, and some gruesome consequences (As well as some of their song titles having some rather strongly worded names) but the fact is they aren't that intimidating and are very interesting.
George Fisher said himself that '"It is good to have anger music as a release", and Cannibal Corpse does the trick perfectly.
I've had a listen to some of the songs on the new album and its great for people who support Cannibal Corpse as well as appealing to people who are just getting started with the Metal vibe.
Here is where you can buy their album, and here's hoping we don't have to wait so long for another one.
REVIEW: Kaiser Chiefs - Souvenir: The Singles 2004 - 2012 CD

Some of the best through their time all on one disc.
(Nice photo boys, very nice :P)

A little collection of their singles all put together in one neat disc, all from their earlier work 'Oh My God' right up to the most recent tunes 'On The Run'
I love having a listen to Kaiser Chiefs, makes me feel cheery and their songs are so catchy. Their indie rockin' style has caught many people and they have had a lot of success. They also have a new CD out called 'The Future Is Medieval' with some new songs and they are definitely on fine form. 'On The Run' is an especially good one with a deeper feel to it,and with a few new styles just to keep us on our toes
Here is where you can pre-order 'Souvenir: The Singles 2004 - 2012', which is due out on 4th June 2012. They currently have exclusive signed copies available.
And here is where you can buy the new Album 'The Future is Medieval' (Been re-issues in North America as 'Start The Revolution Without Me')

New Music of the Week Feature, Christina Grimmie. She is a very talented girl and you should definitely have a listen.
REVIEW: Christina Grimmie Music

Back to the YouTube to discover some good voices and this is what I come up with :P
(Her voice is amazing, I must say)

Searching around on YouTube, trying to find a new voice and I hit the Jackpot. Christina Grimmie has an amazing voice, and has really started to make her way in the music business. She has been covering so many songs since 2009 including; Demi Lovato's 'Catch Me', Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On', Owl City's 'Fireflies', Michael Jackson's 'Beat it', Stone Sour's 'Through Glass'  and so many more. She has worked with Selena Gomez and Jonas Brothers, opening for a few tours and even released an Album called 'Find Me' in 2011. Her voice is great so have a listen, she does a wide variety of music.
Here is her cover of 'Your Song' by Elton John

REVIEW: The Cult - Choice Of Weapon CD

Time to go a little old school...

(good old photo, looks like fun :P)

Formed in 1983 this rock band is back again for some more classic tunes. They have had their rough patches and have even split up in 1995 but they made it through and even though it wasn't a sure thing that they were going to make another album, finally they are giving us more. :)
It is said to be their most powerful one yet, drawing out the passion and pushing them way beyond their comfort zone to produce their new style to their already amazing music. This album is also the first time they haven't made any changes to the band members over two consecutive albums with Ian Astbury, Billy Duffy, Chris Wyse and John Tempesta.
The new album will be released on 21st May 2012, Pre-Order the 2CD Deluxe Edition on the link below. :P

Top Of The Charts Update

Another Week gone by and we have got some big changes in the Charts this week.
We have some new singles in the charts: Katy Perry with 'Part Of Me', knocking Gotye off of the number one spot. At number two, we have Sean Paul with 'She Doesn't Mind', which is another pop/club kind of song, I still like it though. Labrinth with 'Last Time' which is on his new CD 'Electronic Earth' which is at number four. JLS with 'Proud', which is much slower than some of their other ones that have been in the charts and that is coming in at number six. Last but not least, You Me At Six with 'The Swarm', quite a powerful song coming in at number twenty-three.
But you know what this means... We have lost some songs from the charts. Lana Del Rey with 'Video Games' and 'Born To Die', Taio Cruz with 'Hangover', Cover Drive with 'Twilight' (one of my current favourites :P), Chiddy Bang with 'Ray Charle', Will.I.Am with 'T.H.E (Hardest Ever)', and Gym Class Heroes with 'Ass Back Home'.
One Re-Entry back into the Charts this week; Drake with 'Take Care', with 19 weeks in the chart.
Find out the full Charts on the page above 'Top Of The Charts' or click on the link below :P

REVIEW: Slash - Apocalyptic Love (Limited Edition) CD

Slash is one of the greatest Guitarists ever lived, and now you get to have this limited edition offer!

(That's quite a selection of guitars there :P)

This could not get any better, Slash is one of the most amazing guitarist and he is releasing his second solo Album, 'Apocalyptic Love'. Slash is an extremely well known musician and I just cannot wait for this Album. I have heard the song 'You Re A Lie' and it is an amazing song for all those Metal and Rock fans out there and if his previous work is anything to go by I am sure we will not be disappointed with the rest of the Album.
This album also features Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, and with two bonus tracks you think it can't get any better.... But it can!
The Album is due for release on the 21st May 2012, and you can pre-order it on the link below. With it you will even get an exclusive 132 Page Magazine! (Told you it got better :P)

REVIEW: Blood Red Shoes - In Time To Voices CD

I've been hearing good things about these two, Anyone already a fan?
(Well they do make a rather good match)

Well they formed in 2004, but they have sure made a big bang. This is their third CD and its a definite winner. Their Single 'Cold' I seem to be hearing a lot over the radio and at first I thought it was a little strange, but now I am warming to it more and more every time. Their songs are fun and powerful. (One of them, 'It Gets Boring By The Sea' was featured in the amazingly funny film Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World)
This rock duo is going to go far if they keep up the music, and their punk style is even more quirky. The pair, Laura and Steven openly support 'Love Music Hate Racism' and anti-fascist campaign and have even played at Ladyfest before, which is a feminist festival
Their New Cd, 'In Time To Voices' is due out on 26th March 2012, pre-order it here, its an exclusive with Play, they have signed copies.

REVIEW: Avery Music

At only seventeen this girl has gotten very far already.

(Rock Chick look, she definitely looks older than she is)

Okay, so she currently hasn't got a CD out but I love her songs she has at the moment, and this is yet another singer/song-writer who made her fame on Youtube. Her Pop Rock music has definitely struck a chord and helped her to get signed up with a major Record label (one of the youngest to be signed up with Universal Motown)
She currently has two singles, 'Love me Or Let Me Go' and 'Go Screw Yourself (GSY)' which is my favourite. Also she has done a fantastic acoustic cover of 'Stereo Hearts'
Here is hoping she gets a CD out soon because I love her style, she reminds me of a new Avril Lavigne.
Here is the link to her single, 'Go Screw Yourself (GSY)'
And just because I love it so much, :) Here is her cover of 'Stereo Hearts'

REVIEW: King Charles - LoveBlood CD

I am now actually a little ashamed that I haven't heard of him before now, but browsing the new releases has it's advantages. Come across this guy and thought I'd check him out.

(Love the hair! Reminds me of a modern day Adam Ant)

His music is just so fun! This classic indie style is definitely the type of thing that you can imagine listening to on a bright sunny day. His style is a bit of a statement but that and his songs makes him 'an epic guy who is too cool for the Charts' (As he has been described) And let me tell you I agree. His music videos are so randomly formed that you just have to watch them, and I can't help seeing a resemblance to Adam Ant although their music styles do differ quite a lot. :P. I'd actually associate him more with Vampire Weekend.
He has been writing music since he was seventeen, and took on the name King Charles (His real name being  Charles Johnston) and is inspired greatly by Mahatma Gandhi and Alexander Bunker. He was originally in the band Adventure Playground, but is now going solo with his first Album. These old-school indie songs bring back some of the fun to music itself.
His album 'LoveBlood' will be due for release on 7th May 2012, Check out his singles 'LoveBlood', 'Mississippi Isabel' and 'Bam Bam'
Here is where you can pre-order his first CD

Top Of The Charts Update

Here it is, another week and we have some very interesting new singles in the Charts. Gotye is still at the top with 'Somebody That I Used To Know'
New in the charts this week, we have Alexandra Burke with 'Elephant' coming in at Number 3, which I think is slightly different for her. It sounds more like a club mix but I like it. Swedish House Mafia with 'Greyhound' Which I have fallen in love with from the first time I heard it. It has their stamp all over it. Jason Mraz with 'I Won't Give Up', His voice and lyrics are very touching, the love story behind this is almost effortless and the simple melody behind it makes the song almost more powerful.
Sadly, some songs have been dropped from the charts in order to make way for the new ones. Jason Derulo with 'Breathing', Flo Rida with 'Good Feeling', Drake with 'Take Care', Arctic Monkeys with 'R U Mine?' and unfortunately two of my favorites Ed Sheeran with 'Lego House' and Labrinth with 'Earthquake'.
Here are the Top of the Charts link, or you can click the page above and get the full charts
New Music Of The Week Feature, Heather Dale.
Some fantastic folk music, with an Arthurian background. This music is very touching and very calming.

REVIEW: Jack White - Blunderbuss CD

Yes, another rock Review :P

(Gotta love the Coca-Cola)

Well Jack White has definitely done the rounds; being in 'White Stripes', then also a member of 'Raconteurs' and 'Dead Weather'. But now, for his first Solo Album. He was rated at number 17 on 'Rolling Stones, 100 greatest guitarists of all time' but do you think he has what it takes to stand alone on an entire album?
This isn't normally my sort of thing, his music has a very country style to it.. however I gave him the benefit of the doubt and had a listen to a few more of his songs and was surprised that I liked them... I think it is the guitar melodies that makes his songs so good.
His Album 'Blunderbuss' will be due for release on the 23rd April 2012, pre-order it on the link below

REVIEW: Lostprophets - Weapons CD

Lets stand on the Rooftops and Shout about this one

(Welsh too? Yummy)

Well I've loved this band ever since I heard 'Rooftops', and ever since I saw Ian Watkins I have liked them even more :P. The single from this album 'Bring Em Down' definitely has the style of Lostprophets, so to all of their fans out there... don't worry they haven't made any drastic changes. But it has some very good lyrics behind it, which is what I like about a lot of the heavy metal and rock bands out there.
'Weapons' Will be released on 2nd April, and if you order on the link below. You can get an exclusive slipcase copy :P Lucky us.
REVIEW: Shinedown - Amaryllis CD

Okay, so I haven't Reviewed in 2 days, but I have a good reason. I was cake baking and preparing for my Gramp's birthday :P But back to business.
Shinedown is the typical kind of band that you will find in my CD collection, so I cannot wait for this one.

(Love this Photo, \m/ Rock on \m/)

After starting up in 2002, they have given us some great metal to rock to, my personal favourite is 'Save Me', I love lyrics behind this and the video is quite powerful. Check it out.
This will be their 4th Studio Album and from what I have heard its not disappointing either, they aren't a band that I listen to that often however I love their work. The Single 'Bully' has already been released and is Number 2 on this album... So all those Heavy Metal guys and gals out there if you haven't heard of them then you may have just found some new listening material.
Their Album will be released on 26th March 2012, you can pre-order this CD on the link below

Top Of The Charts Update

Okay so another week gone by, and doesn't it go fast? Time for some new songs in our lives with the top charts. Still in Number 1 this week is Gotye with 'Somebody that I Used To Know (Ft. Kimbra)', And we've got some newbies in this week with Stooshie with 'Love Me (Ft. Travie McCoy)' at Number 5, its been on the Radio this week and is definitely catchy.
Tinchy Stryder with 'Bright Lights (Ft. Pixie Lott)' There have been a lot of artists working together recently and they don't always work out very well, but I think these two artists work very well together.
Marcus Collins with 'Seven Nation Army', I knew it wouldn't be long and here he is. I am addicted to this song right now, also did a review on his CD. (link available on the post for where you can order this epic CD)
Out of the Charts this Week, Cher Lloyd with 'Want U Back' Which I love singing along to in my bedroom :P and after her 40 week stretch in the Charts Christina Perri with 'Jar Of Hearts' has finally been pushed out.

Here's the link to all the Charts on BBC's website, you you can check them all out on the page at the top 'Top Of The Charts'

REVIEW: Alter Bridge - Live At Wembley! European Tour 2011 (CD & 2DVD)

I've loved this band for a long time now, And DVDs too? Aren't we lucky :P
(Photo taken from one of their interview pages, nice lads :D)

Now they have started focusing on their other projects I think this CD and DVD pack has come just in time. This Hard Rock, Metal band have brought out some amazing songs, and now we get to watch them play some live... 'Blackbird', 'Watch Over You' and more. Lets hope that they don't stray too far because I would love to see them in tour. Their music can range from soft to very powerful, and its always good to see a band with variety.
Their 'Live At Wembley! European Tour 2011 CD & 2DVD' Pack is due for release on 26th March 2012.
Prepare yourself and you can pre-order it in the link below

New Music Of The Week Feature... This week. Emilie Autumn.
REVIEW: Emilie Autumn

Okay so browsing about on Youtube as you do, and I come across a rather interesting new singer... (Well new to me anyways :P)
(Under the protection of her heart)

I'm finding it quite hard to actually put her into a genre to be honest, she has quite a unique style.
It has a classical hint to it with the violin but with a rock kind of feel too. She has a powerful voice that is for sure.
I particularly like 'The Art Of Suicide'
She has been through a lot and has a book released also of the troubles she has encountered
Have a listen and you might be surprised

REVIEW: Now 81 CD

Oh, Everybody loves the Now albums, they have taken us so far through the music ages...
The very first CD 'Now That's What I Call Music' was released in 1983, Older than Me!
featuring some of the old classics with Phil Collins, Madness, Tina Turner, Bonnie Tyler and lots more.
Now lifting off the Now 81 CD we are bound to be wow'ed with some of the recent Chart hits.. Keep a look out because the Track list is sure to be out soon with the release date on 2nd April.
Here's the link so you can keep looking for it.
REVIEW: Labrinth - Electronic Earth CD

He is making an Earthquake, thats for sure.. :D
(Kicking it with some shade, Labrinth for a photo shoot)

'Let The Sun Shine', 'Earthquake' Featuring Tinie Tempah and 'Last Time' are all on the new CD Electronic Earth. Also features Emeli Sande too, so I am really looking forward to this one :).
I was never really into this kind of Electro House music until I heard 'Let The Sun Shine' then with his follow on 'Earthquake' I was hooked... Now for a normally Heavy Metal Girl I was surprised.
Check him out, His music Videos are really something.
CD Is due for release on 2nd April so available for pre-order now.

REVIEW: Kicking Daisies
Some fresh new kids on the block.
(Kicking Daisies, look quite young in this photo)

Flicking between Youtube videos had its advantages. I come across this fairly new band and their song 'Keeping Secrets' and for some reason was drawn to it. They are more of the classic band that you are likely to see around this age group and they are still making their name so I thought I would share this band with you. I like the fact that there is a female drummer, not something you often see so.. Girl Power! :P and she certainly knows her way around the drum set.
They haven't got a CD out at the moment but there are 5 tracks available at the moment. so have a listen and help them make their fame.
KONY 2012 - Make Him Known!

Okay, so I know this is nothing to do with to normal blog but I saw this video Last night and just had to share it with as many people as possible..
Please Watch this, I know it is 30 minutes long but it is definitely worth it to open your eyes to what is going on and then spread the word as much as you can
Joseph Kony must be stopped and its only you who can do it, make a difference.

REVIEW: All-American Rejects - Kids In The Street CD

They've been quiet for way too long but no more :)
(said to be the best album yet by the boys :D)

Its about time these guys did another CD, after leaving us hanging for all this time The All-American Rejects themselves have said that this Album is their best one yet. Lets hope it will be worth the wait...
Most people have heard their most well known songs, 'Gives You Hell' and 'Dirty Little Secret'. Although we don't know the full track list its confirmed that 'Someday's gone' will be one of them, along with 'Beekeeper's Daughter' being the first Official Single release. If you haven't heard them yet check them out, they have definitely developed their music a lot more and these songs have more of a calmer edge.
Their CD is available for Pre-Order and will be released on 26th March

REVIEW: Lana Del Rey - Born To Die CD

So we've heard the singles, But what about the CD?
(Lana Del Rey is actually called Elizabeth Grant, Lizzy for short)

Lana Del Rey is the new retro singer to watch out for of 2012. I read somewhere that she had been compared to Amy Winehouse after the music video 'Video Games', not only because of her retro look but also the rumors of her being a bit of a rebel. Well if that's what it takes for her music to have the edge that it does, then it is certainly working for her! Although the critics haven't exactly been kind to her that doesn't stop her music being a success and I for one especially like 'Video Games' for being quite unique.
Her CD is available now, and her new single 'Blue Jeans' will be released on 8th April.
Get the CD from here :)

REVIEW: Gotye - Making Mirrors CD

Seeing as the Number 1 is Gotye why don't we have a little look :P
(Gotye Himself, very fun picture I must say)

I have to admit when I was first sent the link to Gotye's 'Somebody That I used To Know' I was a little unsure and considered turning it off, but as soon as I heard the chorus it definitely changed my mind. The soft beginning is just the build up to a pretty amazing finish and his style seems to come in its own Genre completely. I've only so far heard pieces of the other songs on this track, but if the single is anything to go by I'm sure it will be a hit. If you want to buy it, its available now

Top Charts Update

So this week is is late, but I only started the blog today so I thought I'd get the Charts up..

So Goyte has been in the charts for 9 weeks now and is currently Number 1. I've been hearing it a lot on the radio and I am warming to it. I think it is one of those songs that the more you hear, the more it gets into your head but its an odd one.
Ed Sheeran is doing extremely well, even after 'A-Team' he still has 2 songs in the Charts; 'Lego House' and 'Drunk', both of which can be found on his CD '+'. Jessie J with another hit at Number 10, 'Domino' a catchy tune you can't help but smile at. And even though there are many more good tunes in the Charts at the moment the last shout out has to go to Christina Perri with 'Jar Of Hearts' Which has been in the charts a whopping 40 weeks and even though its at Number 39, its still going strong.
REVIEW: Tyler Ward Music

Time to spread the word about a great artist, Tyler Ward
(Made his name on Youtube, Just goes to show it can be done :P)

Not so much a CD review, but still I needed to let people know about this great guy I found on Youtube a couple of months ago. I love acoustic covers of songs so was browsing through only to stumble across Tyler Ward and his Crew. He has really built up his fan base and here's hoping this will appeal to some of you. As well as some really good covers his original songs are really calming to listen to. He currently doesn't have a CD out but some of his songs and covers are available on iTunes and here is his Youtube page for you to check him out. Enjoy, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

REVIEW: Marcus Collins - Marcus Collins CD

First CD review, and I thought I would pick Marcus Collins
(From the music video of his single 'Seven Nation Army)

He is just spreading his wings in the music industry so thought we would start off together. I have to admit, I haven't really known about him long and it was only by chance that I come across his single Seven Nation Army. A friend of mine (Tom, seeing as he wants to be named :P) text me asking if I knew the song he had heard on the radio and referred to him as the new Bruno Mars? So I had to check him out. I was pleasantly surprised and thought he also had a touch of Cee Lo Green's style too. But he is worth a listen if you like the Jazzy pop songs.
He has a new CD coming out on the 12th March of which his single is on, as well as some other good tracks.
Check it out and let me know your reviews too

Okay so second blog people... this is something that I did after going to the HMV Forum a couple of weeks ago to see DJ Fresh and some other great DJs. I got really into the music of Anchorsong even though it was something I'd never heard before so decided to play around on some online programme that lets you easily create your own tunage. It's a very basic kind of programme so this is in no way professional but it just goes to show how available these things are. If you want to know the site I used it was Music Lab... Although I don't think it will let you do over 4 songs on the free account. Go make some music and have fun with it. I know I did :D

Intro To The Madness

Howdy folks. Okay.... so first blog I have ever created but here goes. :P I'll tell you all a bit about myself I guess. I have a real passion for music (Hence the title of Music) plus I'm just a little bit mad which is where I got the madness from. I'll give any bit of music a try... right from Ludovico Einaudi and Debussy to Megadeth and Avenged Sevenfold. This blog is just to spread the news on any music bits and bobs that might be interesting to people. I want to hear other people's views on music too and hopefully we can broaden everyone's horizons into the musical world. (Cheesy I know)  Hopefully will be getting some interesting stuff up here soon about all sorts of music.
