Top Of The Charts Update

I realised when I went to do this weeks update that the numbers for last weeks chart was all in a jumble so sorry about that folks. But I assure you there is no cryptic level to this weeks chart :P
Another week gone by and as always some new songs enter our life, and the first one to enter is The Saturdays with '30 Days' coming in at number seven. Next D'banj with 'Oliver Twist' at number nine. shortly after a new favourite of mine is Scissor Sisters with 'Only The Horses' at number twelve, but hopefully that number will rise :P. Quite a few closer together at the lower end of the scale, Professor Green with 'Remedy' at number twenty seven, Skepta with 'Make Peace Not War' (Which always makes me want to sing the words 'Everybody Dance Now!' as soon as I hear the beginning) coming in at a close twenty nine. Then at thirty two Skrillex comes in with 'Bangerang' reminding me of a childhood favourite film 'Hook' :D
only one re-entry this week at number thirty, that is Coldplay & Rihanna teaming up to produce 'Princess Of China'.
Unfortunately again its time to say goodbye to a few songs, so take a moment to remember these. :P The Temper Trap with 'Sweet Disposition'John Legend with 'Ordinary People'Avicii with 'Silhouettes'Swedish House Mafia with 'Greyhound'Rizzle Kicks with 'Mama Do The Hump'Jessie J with 'Domino'Jason Mraz with 'I'm Yours', and finally Justin Bieber with his mother's day special 'Turn To You' after only one week in the charts.

REVIEW: Paloma Faith - Fall To Grace CD

Her clever way of creating her music makes it hard to ignore as the tunes really get stuck in your head, prepare yourself with another dose with this album.

(I love her style :P this photo shoot looks like it was fun)

I have heard her songs so many times, and also heard of Paloma Faith herself but have never put the two together until this review. The songs she does are ones that instantly stick in your head, such as 'New York' and 'Upside Down' which I have had a lot of love for but never known who sung them.
This is now her second album, and this has a completely new sound. She even said the album had taken on a 'cinematic mood' and couldn't wait for it to be released to the public.
Her single 'Picking Up The Pieces' and is a very amazing song speaking about being with someone who is still getting over a previous relationship, it expresses real emotions and I'm in love with it.
There is also an acoustic version of 'Black And Blue' which was made available on Amazon as a download until the third of July 2012 (My nineteenth birthday :P) and this is also another good track.
Her album 'Fall To Grace' is due for release on 28th May 2012, but is available to pre-order on the link below. With this copy you even get a special polaroid photo for your enjoyment. :)
REVIEW: Tom Jones - Spirit In The Room CD

'It's not unusual' to have a little love for Tom Jones, so a lot of people will be thrilled to hear he has graced the studios again to give us another album.

(Everyone knows the face and music of this legend)

Well well well, up to his thirty ninth studio album, this man has definitely earned his rank in the music industry.
The songs again have been kept under lock and key and he has not yet released a single from this album, but we know by now the standard the Tom Jones keeps up with. He will be sure not to let us down. Looking back at some of his most famous tracks; 'What's New Pussycat?' (Which I can't help but sing to my cats :P) 'Delilah', 'Green, Green Grass Of Home', 'She's A Lady' and 'Kiss' he is one of the artists that will follow for generations to come :P
The ablum 'Spirit In The Room' is due for release on the 21st May 2012, but you can pre-order it on the link below
REVIEW: Beach House - Bloom CD

They've been around since 2004 and have made a huge impression on many people's lives, will they make an impression on yours?

(Something quite special about this picture, it suits them well)

More commonly known as 'dream pop' because their music has a slow and memorising flow to it with rhythms that definitely relax you. The duo stick to the simplicity of their music and it makes it special, they only really tour with a drummer as their albums are all programmed with the drums.
This will be their fourth album and they are sure not to disappoint again and to wow on a much bigger scale. (Their first album especially wasn't publicized as much as what it should have been) They have grown and grown and now have turned into what we see today.
'Myth' was the single from the album, and it is amazing I have to say. They really out do themselves with their music. I read that they enjoyed the 'challenge' of creating music with just two people and I think the challenge has definitely succeeded in their case. 'Lazuli' was later released and is just as amazing as the first.
The Album took an impressive seven weeks to record in Texas, on of the duo's favourite places and was released in in early May receiving a lot of positive feedback. (Including myself now I have heard the album in all it's glory)
The album 'Bloom' is available to buy on the link below. Exclusive signed copy too for all those Beach House fans. :P

REVIEW: John Mayer - Born And Raised CD

After three years John Mayer is back for another go of wow'ing us, and I think its a success.
(Looking rather dashing in this photo, very Vogue)

It's been too long since we heard from him last but this fifth album is said to be a real treat. Being the loosest one yet, it's been a tough ride for him to get this finished. He has been under the weather with Granulomas, causing many delays for his album. It just goes to show he gives so much for his music, as it is said that his 'inauthentic style' of singing is what caused the problem.
Finally the album was finished with his recovered voice (Although some of the before surgery work was used because the raspier voice sounded pretty awesome :P) and the first single was released in February called 'Shadow Days' and it is a truly amazing song. The lyrics are really strong and are enough to give hope to a lot of people out there.
The track list has been released but the actual songs are under lock and key until the release date, but if this single is anything to go by then we are sure to have a definite winner. Unfortunately John Mayer has still not fully recovered and has had to cancel his tour dates until further notice so here is hoping that he gets better soon so we can hear more from him.
The album is due for release on 21st May 2012, but is available to pre-order on the link below.
REVIEW: Scissor Sisters - Magic Hour CD

New and rather different, they are back again.
(They look like a bit of a mix match but they sound great together)

It's taken them some time to come up with this one but it's worth the wait, It feels like they have had a re-vamp of their style with this album.
Two more have been released from the album at the moment: One that was debuted on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show in January called 'Shady Love' and the other that was release recently was 'Let's Have A Kiki' (which I could only find a live show for but if you have spotify it is on there :P) both of which sound pretty funky :P. The second one is especially unique and really really gets stuck in your head. This new album is definitely one to take with you if you are going on holiday soon to somewhere hot, it really hits the tropical atmosphere.
The single from the album is 'Only The Horses' and I was quite surprised because the first time I heard it I wouldn't have said this was Scissor Sisters, but its one of their songs that I really like through the first time of hearing it.
The album 'Magic Hour' is due out on 28th May 2012, but is available for pre-order now on the link below. This edition is exclusive as it is signed and you get the DVD too. :P Happy times.

Update Time

Okay so every now and then we will have a little update time where we look back on some of the new artists that have been reviewed or have been on the Music Of The Week Feature :P
Firstly we have Micture Project who have been working hard to get the ball rolling well, they have a new track on their Youtube channel called 'Prototype' which is definitely worth a listen to. (Check out their Channel too here). Also show your support for them, all you need is a Facebook account and you can vote for them everyday :) its as simple as that! They are currently ranking at number six but still need your help guys to stay in the top fifteen to be in with a chance for a one week tour with Red Bull! Get the word out and Vote Here
If you want to check out their Facebook page you can find it here.
Next we have JR Aquino taking the stand, a previous Music of the week feature (A permanent review post coming soon :P) with a few new videos including 'The Cuddle Song' featuring Timothy DeLaGhetto which might not be for you if you aren't too into the whole crude thing. It's not filthy but there is some suggestive stuff in there if you get me :P? Hope to see more from him soon, he has some quirky ways. (Find his facebook page here)
A good old favourite of the blog, :) Tyler Ward. He has had a few videos of his own up now, and they are more covers of some of the latests hits. Official video cover of Maroon 5's 'Payphone' featuring Katy McAllister and another good one, 'Both Of Us'.
More Updates coming soon so watch this space :P

REVIEW: Train - California 37 CD

Love this CD and I hope you guys do too.

(I love the style these guys seem to have :) )

Train have been going since 1994 and have made quite a name for themselves now. I think the main one that sticks out for them is 'Hey, Soul Sister'. I know that is the song that made me interested and then fall in love with their music.
Now, this CD has had mixed reviews so far. Some people are very pleased with their work and others feel its not up to scratch of their last one but I beg to differ (Although I may be a little biased due to the fact their catchy and upbeat alternative rock really appeals to me) but I feel as if this CD has kept up with the times but kept their original ideas from their original types of music and that takes a certain skill to keep that up.
Everyone knows their single from the album 'Drive By' and there are many more good songs from this album. Even though the songs may sound a little similar to other ones on the Album at first listen, if you listen closer they feel like they have more meaning to them and kind of take on an emotion of their own. I love songs that make you feel things and I definitely felt something listening to this.
You get the calm tunes like 'Feels Good At First' then the ones that stick out and feel a little Rockstar :P like 'California 37'.
My favourite from this Album has to be 'Bruises' featuring Ashley Monroe as I love not only the lyrics but the whole melody. (Got stuck in my head after listening to it five times :D)
This album is available for purchase now, so if you love Train hop aboard and get your copy on the link below (I know, my jokes are getting worse and worse lol)
REVIEW: Cancer Bats - Dead Set On Living CD & DVD

I'm never disappointed by Cancer Bats, and this time we get twice the Rock as we get to watch them too!

Living it Large again with their fourth album 'Dead Set On Living', and as always they have made a big entrance into their album. It is said to have a more upbeat feel to it, and I have to say after listening to it and then comparing it to their previous album 'Bears, Mayors, Scraps And Bones' I have to agree (If you want that album just click on the name and you can find out where to buy it :) ). The music behind it has such a better pace.
This band has an odd way of inspiration; rather than getting inspired from the classic metal bands they tend to get most of their muse from non-metal bands such as Fleet Foxes. They use this method to veer away from the traditions of Metal and make their own unique music style. Well it certainly is working for me :P
They are also hoping to play at least six different venues in London, UK to promote this new epic album so watch this space for more details on that. :P Cancer Bats may be coming to town.
'New World Alliance' is my favourite out of this lot, Its something about it that is very catchy and gets stuck in your head, but I love all of this CD.
This CD is available for purchase now, and if you want to buy it you can find it on the link below. A special treat too as this set has exclusive Badge set and DVD to watch them as well as listen. Aren't we lucky :P

Top Of The Charts Update

Well well well, lots of activity this week to make up for the lack of movement in the charts this week. We have some old and we have some new appearing in the top 40. (by the way folks, have you noticed how my Top of the Chart reviews always end up sounding like commentary for a horse race? Random Mad fact :P)
First off we will kick start with the newbies, and finally Carly Rae Jepsen has been kicked off of the number one spot and been replaced by Tulisa with 'Young' then shortly after Cover Drive is back with another single, and its bringing back some 'Sparks' too at number four. Little way down the charts Rihanna is making another appearance in the chart, this time with 'Where Have You Been?' at twenty one. Sub Focus have 'Out The Blue' closely following at Twenty three. Avicii making 'Silhouettes' in the charts at number twenty six. Lana Del Rey is coming back into the charts too with her 'Blue Jeans', yet another awesome song from her starting off at a respectable thirty two. Then last but not least, at thirty eight Flux Pavilion has 'Daydreamer' in the charts.
Only two re-entries this week but they are definitely worth it, James Vincent McMorrow with 'Higher Love' comes back at number thirty seven. Directly after at thirty eight, Train with 'Hey Soul Sister' which is one of my personal favourites and has always graced my playlist :P.
Lost quite a few this week, for starters we have Stereophonics with 'Dakota', The Script with 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved', The Fray with 'How To Save A Life', Kings Of Leon with 'Use Somebody', Linkin Park with 'Burn It Down', Kelly Clarkson with 'Stronger', LMFAO with 'Sorry For Party Rocking', Rihanna with 'We Found Love', and finally not forgettting a memorable tune given to us by Maroon 5 rocking it with 'Moves Like Jagger'.
If you want to see the full charts then check out the page above, Top of the charts. Links to all the new and the old :P

REVIEW: Marina And The Diamonds - Electra Heart

Well we have all heard the song 'Primadonna', but will you enjoy the rest of the album?

(Very nice and basic black and white shot, I think those are the best)

Her indie pop style has really started to blossom with this latest album. (Her first being 'The Family Jewels' which was released in 2010 and also linked just incase you want to buy it :P)
Some of her songs are more rock style in my opinion; for example 'Bubblegum Bitch' which is very upbeat and quite powerful and 'Homewrecker' which has a very club beat to it and a rather unique way of being sung. On the other hand, we have the likes of 'Lies' and 'Teen Idle', Which are so much calmer. At the start of the songs you expect them to be like most pop songs, singing about love and nothing of real consistency but they are actually rather raw (If that's the right word to describe it, bearing in mind I haven't yet heard her previous album to compare to. Soon though :) ) One of my favourites from the album is 'Hypocrates',(which I can unfortunately just find a snippet of) but it just has a lovely melody to it and her voice really suits this song and as you go through the album it gets a lot calmer and starts to wind down.
Word of warning to anyone who is a bit funny with any swearing, yes she does swear through some of the songs so prepare yourself but if that's something that doesn't bother you then you should definitely think about checking this album out because it was completely different from what I expected and from listening to it she gained a new fan :).
Her Album 'Electra Heart' is available for purchase now and you can pick it up on the link below.

Top Of The Charts Update

Dear me, why has it been so hard to find time to blog recently? I am sorry about the lack of activity but I'm always here for your Chart update :P
It's not just the blog that has been quiet this week, seems like we have only one new song in the Charts; Calvin Harris with 'Let's Go' coming in at number two.
The re-entry front hasn't been as quiet however, and we have some golden tunes coming back into our lives :P
Firstly, we have Stereophonics coming back with 'Dakota' at number twenty nine. Then, The Fray with 'How To Save A Life' at number thirty four (An amazing tune that I am ashamed to say I had forgotten about till now) and it also means it has spent an amazing 113 weeks in the charts. Not as long as Kings Of Leon with 'Use Somebody' meaning it has spend a whopping 139 weeks in the charts. Just goes to show how songs can stick with people if they are good enough.
Through the lack of activity this week, we have only lost a few songs from our top 40. However we have still lost some; Birdy with 'Skinny Love', Train with 'Drops Of Jupiter (Tell Me)', Labrinth with 'Last Time', Plan B with 'iLL Manors', Breathe Carolina with 'Blackout' (one of my favourites :S) and finally DJ Fresh with 'Hot Right Now' have all sadly gone from the top 40 but won't leave our playlists anytime soon :P

New Music Of The Week Feature

Okay so I have had a lot of glitches with the not-so reliable laptop recently, and have gone to do this weeks feature only to find that it was a review saved on the page instead so apologies my friends :) so now who should have been the music of the week.
JR Aquino is an amazing artist, I don't know if any of you have heard of him but if you haven't and love the acoustic feel to songs definitely check him out as you will probably instantly fall in love with his style just as I did.
Only one link to my favourite song of his but there is a link to his Youtube channel where you can find tonnes of stuff :) Enjoy.

Music and Madness is going Link crazy! :P From this moment on, all of the charts will have links directly to all of the songs so you can just click and go straight to it. Easy huh?
Also the updates will have links as well as the reviews so you can get all the juicy bits. :D.
Also... watch this space because there are big plans for a madness make over :P
Top Of The Charts Update

Wow, another week. Another update....
And now for the first time with the charts, all you have to do is click on the song and you get directed straight to it. :P Making it even easier to listen to them all.
Firstly, Carly Ray Jepsen is still rocking number one with 'Call Me Maybe'.
A lot of fairly different types of music making their way into the charts this week, Conor Maynard starting out at number two with 'Can't Say No'  and I can't say no to loving this song. :P B.o.B is back and feeling 'So Good' at Number Seven. Marina & The Diamonds have a rather light feeling track called 'Primadonna' at number eleven. Then Train come out with another hit called 'Drive By' at a respectable number fourteen.  Then last but definitely not least, Linkin Park grace the charts with 'Burn It Down'
Only one re-entry this week, Birdy with 'Skinny Love' coming back at number twenty eight and having a huge 57 weeks in the chart, that knocks Christina Perri off the scale (Sorry Christina :P)
Again we have dropped some from the charts, so take a moment to look through these and maybe even have a little listen to them :P

First, Alexandra Burke with 'Elephant'Labrinth with 'Earthquake'Wheatus with 'Teenage Dirtbag',  Ed Sheeran with 'Drunk', Coldplay with 'Paradise' and finally Beyonce with 'End Of Time' have all gone from the top forty, but watch out because they may be back :P

REVIEW: Cover Drive - Bajan Style CD

One of the latest trend groups, with their first CD out.

(Casually covered in paint for a photo shoot)

We all know and love (Well I love at least :P) one of their hits 'Twilight' which was number one on the charts for four weeks :) as well as their other single 'Lick Ya Down' which also made it into the charts. Now we have more of the Cover Drive to look forward to.
Their new Single from the album is called 'Sparks' and is pretty awesome, typical R&B to Pop style but still a very catchy tune. (Something which Cover Drive seem to create very well with the songs they produce).
These four have done extremely well in such a short period of time and their music gives us tunes to dance around our rooms to, this CD is the ultimate feel good collection.
The album Bajan Style is out on 7th May 2012, if you want to pre-order it you can on the link below

REVIEW: Anathema - Weather Systems CD

Anathema isn't a band I have really heard a lot from, their earlier work was very death metal, but they developed so much since 1990.

(Very natural picture of the band, with )

I have listened to quite a few tracks off this album and I can't help but feel so relaxed. The song 'Internal Landscape' has so much meaning behind it, and the speech at the start really gets to you. It's rare that I find an album that you can really feel the emotion through but I believe this album really does it, and I have to really credit Anathema for the way they have put themselves into this album.
Its amazing to listen back to 'Serenades' which was their first album from 1993 and see the transformation from then to now, but they have done so well to transform an still make amazing music like 'Lightning Song', so quite and peaceful to hear. There are only nine songs on the album but it is really worth a listen and you know what they say; its quality not quantity.
The album 'Weather Systems' is available to buy now, if you wish to buy it you can find it on the link below.

REVIEW: Micture Project Music

Okay guys so I know I have been kind of slack with the reviews but I'm back with plenty more for you.
Love it when you come across new music and they can be found anywhere, :) This band has a really good mixture of styles going on here.

(Picture from their Facebook page which is linked below)

Their influences range from the likes of Nine Inch Nails and Disturbed to Eminem which makes their sound appealing to many different people, and being a crossover band gives them their own unique twist. Starting back in 2009, they have really grown not only in numbers but in style too; developing their sound further to make it what is is today. They have a Youtube channel up and running which you should check out, get a feel for the music and have a Facebook page so you can show your support.
I love their song 'Rewind' right now (Click it to check out the tune :P)
Here is their Youtube channel where you can check out their work and subscribe for more updates
Like them on Facebook and share the love :)
Keep checking back, We hope to see this band go far.
You can even show your support by Rating them 5 stars to give them a shot at touring with 'Redbull', just click on the link below and click all five stars. :P its that easy

Top Of The Charts Update

May be a day late but let me tell you it is worth it.
Don't you just love it when it comes to the start of the new week, not because the weekend is over (I know we all hate that :P) But because you get to hear all of the new tracks in the charts over the radio and we have tonnes this week.
Nine new songs in the charts, must be our lucky week; To start with we have Justin Bieber in with 'Boyfriend' at number two, then Usher with 'Climax' at number four. Doing well so far for their first week. Then there is fun. with 'We are Young' at number seven and straight after we have Sway with 'Level Up' at number eight. Down at number twenty one, we have one of my personal favourites (Again another one I am surprised hasn't been in the top charts sooner) Breathe Carolina with 'Blackout'. Jessie J at number twenty six with 'Laserlight' and I really hope this goes up further :). At twenty seven John Legend brings us 'Ordinary People'. At thirty five Train comes in with 'Drops Of Jupiter (Tell Me)'. Then last but not least, Alex Clare with 'Too Close' at thirty seven.
You know what this means, some of the songs that lit up last week have been dropped. Alex Day with 'Lady Godiva' after just one week in the charts. Rihanna with 'Talk That Talk', You Me At Six with 'The Swarm', Coldplay with 'Charlie Brown', Olly Murs with 'Dance With Me Tonight', Flo Rida with 'Good Feeling', Ed Sheeran with 'Lego House', Stooshie with 'Love Me', Alyssa Reid with 'Alone Again' and Maroon 5 with 'Moves Like Jagger' have all gone from the charts, but I'm sure most will still venture onto our playlist.
Only one Re-entry this week, Wheatus with 'Teenage Dirtbag' now bringing it up to spending twenty eight weeks in the charts.
Long Review this week but a lot has happened, if you want to check out the full charts go to the page above Top Of The Charts

New E-Mail:
REVIEW: Jason Mraz - Love Is A Four Letter Word CD

Fourth album, and all the fans will be pleased with this one. :P

(Looks so laid back, and tasty :P)

Jason Mraz first appealed to me when I heard his probably most well known song 'I'm Yours', and I fell for his voice which is so soft. Now we have more of his voice to enjoy with his new album.
Some of you may have already heard the single from his latest album 'Love Is A Four Letter Word' which is called 'I Won't Give Up', which I find to be such a touching song. You find that with a lot of his work; that they have meaning behind them.
The original release date was originally the 8th May 2012, so lucky us for being able to get it earlier :P
The track list is now up and it won't be too long to wait until we can get this to listen to, we even have Inara George featuring on one of his tracks called 'Be Honest'.
The album 'Love Is A Four Letter Word' is due to be released on 16th April 2012, if you want to pre-order it you can on the link below

REVIEW: Tenacious D - Rize Of The Fenix CD

Their back, and they are louder than ever.

(Jack Black and Kyle Gass posing Rocker style)

Many people share a lot of love for Tenacious D and their wacky ways, and they are back again for their third album.
Although the track list hasn't been released yet it doesn't take a genius to know that this one will not disappoint. It is only a shame that they always wait so long to release an album. Their comedy rock lightens the mood for anyone and there aren't many that don't know of their music.
They have been going in 1999 and are still producing songs that please their many fans
Updates will come as soon as possible when I can find the track list.
The album 'Rize Of The Fenix' is due for release on the 14th May, if you would like to pre-order the album you can find it on the link below.
REVIEW: Mars Volta - Noctourniquet CD

Their music is very different to what I am used to.

(These men create some very rare styles of music)

Mars Volta is a band that if someone said to me was an electronic rock I'm not sure I would have listened to them, but knowing nothing about them I decided to give them a shot.
Their New Album 'Noctourniquet' is one of the most unique albums I have ever heard and their style is really unique. I listened to a few of their songs from that particular album as well as a few of their older tunes and definitely noticed their confidence to push the boundaries in their sixth album.
It is a very heavy electronic sound which appeals not only to the rockers out there but also to the more techno people which makes their audience huge.
I hope you enjoy this music as much as I did as this was really something new for me.

Top Of The Charts Update

Its come to that time again and we have a few more good songs to add to your playlist.
New in the Charts this week we have Carly Rae Jepsen with 'Call Me Maybe' knocking Chris Brown off the number 1 spot. Then coming in at number 15 we have Alex Day with another one of his uniquely styled songs, this one being called 'Lady Godiva'. Finally, Beyonce is coming in at nubmer 39 with 'End Of Time'.
Couple of good ones re-entering the charts too thanks to you lovely people still listening to them; At number 18 The Script with 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved'. At number 35, Flo Rida with 'Good Feeling' then Ed Sheeran back with 'Lego House'.
Unfortunately like every week, some good songs have to step aside to make room for new ones to spread their wings. This Week JLS with 'Proud', Tinchy Stryder with 'Bright Lights', Lil Wayne with 'Mirrors', The Vaccines with 'If You Wanna' (which had re-entered the charts last week), B.Traits with 'Fever' and finally Lloyd with 'Dedication To My Ex' have all dropped out of the top 40.
Quick shout out to Maroon 5 with 'Moves Like Jagger' for spending 34 weeks in the charts now, they are coming close to beating the previous long run by Christina Perri who spent 40 weeks in the charts with 'Jar Of Hearts'. Just goes to show they've still got it!
If you want to see the full charts and all the positions check them out on the page above 'Top Of The Charts' or even go to BBC's Website's link below to see how they have progressed.

REVIEW: Keane - Strangeland CD

Never used to be that into their music, but this Album has changed my views completely

(Lovely Photo, and a lovely set of guys)

They said they have really pushed themselves this year to 'make the album amazing' and boy, have they done the job. I have known about Keane but they have never really made it into my CD collection, however that is all about to change with this new album as I believe it to be a must have.
This is their first full album since 2008 when they made 'Perfect Symmetry' and they wanted to make it a good one. I've listened to the trailer of the track (The link you can find below) and was impressed by it instantly. Their Alternative Rock style has a calmer feel and makes it sound so much more meaningful.

Their new album is due to be released on 7th May 2012, you can pre-order it on the link below.
REVIEW: Bruce Springsteen - Wrecking Ball (Special Edition) CD

At the age of 62, Bruce Springsteen can still Rock it.

(Looks quite good too :P)
His 17th Album and he can still create some fantastic music with 'Wrecking Ball' and he has now tied with Elvis Presley for third place in the most No. One Albums in the United States. (Now thats pretty impressive).
I have listened to some of his tracks; the singles from the album 'We Take Care Of Our Own' and 'Rocky Ground' which I find to be amazing. They fit with the tastes of today as well as keeping their original form making his music appeal to not only long time followers of Bruce Springsteen but for new people just starting to take more notice of his music. Like me :)
If you want to Order his New Album, 'Wrecking Ball' here is where you can order the special edition one. Enjoy
REVIEW: Maverick Sabre - Lonely Are The Brave CD

Heard him on the radio but now he has his own album for you to enjoy.

(Think this is a rather simple but nice photo)
His new album was released in Februrary and so far doing quite well, for those of you who haven't got the CD yet, or if you haven't even heard of Maverick Sabre, you are in for a treat.
Many have probably heard his two great song successes so far, 'Let Me Go' and 'I Need', which are two quite different songs. I find Maverick has a very unique voice that you can recognize, and his music can take a few catagories; from Post-Dubstep to Reggae Fusion and Soul. His diversity in his music makes this album so interesting because we see many different styles all put onto one disc.
I rather like 'Open My Eyes' which you can also find on his new album.
If you want to order the album 'Lonely Are The Brave' here is where you can.

REVIEW: Maximo Park - The National Health CD

Never heard of them before, although they have been going since 2001.. lets hope its some new music for you guys to love too

(This seems to be the classic pose for most bands now)

I love finding artists that I haven't heard of before, and this is another one that I am glad I found. Their rock style is really good and they have an upbeat feel to their music and it sounds a little different from other rock bands (I think its due to Lukas Wooller's Skills on Keyboard to give it a subtle techno edge).
I managed to find what I think is their single from the fourth album, 'The National Health', and it really drew me to them. The lyrics aren't what you would normally expect so it makes a change and after that it made me want to hear more and more.
Their Album is due for release on 11th June 2012. You can pre-order it on the link below and even better, this link is to the 2CD Exclusive signed-copies.

REVIEW: Cannibal Corpse - Torture (Explicit) CD

Some good old death metal.. that's what we are missing :)

(Well this lot look a little scary down that alley, but I would still love a chance to bump into them)

We have waited for three years for another one of their albums, and now we have it. This will be their 12th album! I first started listening to them after seeing one of their interesting album artworks, and really enjoyed what I heard. The songs that they write tell stories of some really violent scenes, and some gruesome consequences (As well as some of their song titles having some rather strongly worded names) but the fact is they aren't that intimidating and are very interesting.
George Fisher said himself that '"It is good to have anger music as a release", and Cannibal Corpse does the trick perfectly.
I've had a listen to some of the songs on the new album and its great for people who support Cannibal Corpse as well as appealing to people who are just getting started with the Metal vibe.
Here is where you can buy their album, and here's hoping we don't have to wait so long for another one.
REVIEW: Kaiser Chiefs - Souvenir: The Singles 2004 - 2012 CD

Some of the best through their time all on one disc.
(Nice photo boys, very nice :P)

A little collection of their singles all put together in one neat disc, all from their earlier work 'Oh My God' right up to the most recent tunes 'On The Run'
I love having a listen to Kaiser Chiefs, makes me feel cheery and their songs are so catchy. Their indie rockin' style has caught many people and they have had a lot of success. They also have a new CD out called 'The Future Is Medieval' with some new songs and they are definitely on fine form. 'On The Run' is an especially good one with a deeper feel to it,and with a few new styles just to keep us on our toes
Here is where you can pre-order 'Souvenir: The Singles 2004 - 2012', which is due out on 4th June 2012. They currently have exclusive signed copies available.
And here is where you can buy the new Album 'The Future is Medieval' (Been re-issues in North America as 'Start The Revolution Without Me')

New Music of the Week Feature, Christina Grimmie. She is a very talented girl and you should definitely have a listen.
REVIEW: Christina Grimmie Music

Back to the YouTube to discover some good voices and this is what I come up with :P
(Her voice is amazing, I must say)

Searching around on YouTube, trying to find a new voice and I hit the Jackpot. Christina Grimmie has an amazing voice, and has really started to make her way in the music business. She has been covering so many songs since 2009 including; Demi Lovato's 'Catch Me', Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On', Owl City's 'Fireflies', Michael Jackson's 'Beat it', Stone Sour's 'Through Glass'  and so many more. She has worked with Selena Gomez and Jonas Brothers, opening for a few tours and even released an Album called 'Find Me' in 2011. Her voice is great so have a listen, she does a wide variety of music.

REVIEW: The Cult - Choice Of Weapon CD

Time to go a little old school...

(good old photo, looks like fun :P)

Formed in 1983 this rock band is back again for some more classic tunes. They have had their rough patches and have even split up in 1995 but they made it through and even though it wasn't a sure thing that they were going to make another album, finally they are giving us more. :)
It is said to be their most powerful one yet, drawing out the passion and pushing them way beyond their comfort zone to produce their new style to their already amazing music. This album is also the first time they haven't made any changes to the band members over two consecutive albums with Ian Astbury, Billy Duffy, Chris Wyse and John Tempesta.
The new album will be released on 21st May 2012, Pre-Order the 2CD Deluxe Edition on the link below. :P

Top Of The Charts Update

Another Week gone by and we have got some big changes in the Charts this week.
We have some new singles in the charts: Katy Perry with 'Part Of Me', knocking Gotye off of the number one spot. At number two, we have Sean Paul with 'She Doesn't Mind', which is another pop/club kind of song, I still like it though. Labrinth with 'Last Time' which is on his new CD 'Electronic Earth' which is at number four. JLS with 'Proud', which is much slower than some of their other ones that have been in the charts and that is coming in at number six. Last but not least, You Me At Six with 'The Swarm', quite a powerful song coming in at number twenty-three.
But you know what this means... We have lost some songs from the charts. Lana Del Rey with 'Video Games' and 'Born To Die', Taio Cruz with 'Hangover', Cover Drive with 'Twilight' (one of my current favourites :P), Chiddy Bang with 'Ray Charle', Will.I.Am with 'T.H.E (Hardest Ever)', and Gym Class Heroes with 'Ass Back Home'.
One Re-Entry back into the Charts this week; Drake with 'Take Care', with 19 weeks in the chart.

REVIEW: Slash - Apocalyptic Love (Limited Edition) CD

Slash is one of the greatest Guitarists ever lived, and now you get to have this limited edition offer!

(That's quite a selection of guitars there :P)

This could not get any better, Slash is one of the most amazing guitarist and he is releasing his second solo Album, 'Apocalyptic Love'. Slash is an extremely well known musician and I just cannot wait for this Album. I have heard the song 'You Re A Lie' and it is an amazing song for all those Metal and Rock fans out there and if his previous work is anything to go by I am sure we will not be disappointed with the rest of the Album.
This album also features Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, and with two bonus tracks you think it can't get any better.... But it can!
The Album is due for release on the 21st May 2012, and you can pre-order it on the link below. With it you will even get an exclusive 132 Page Magazine! (Told you it got better :P)

REVIEW: Blood Red Shoes - In Time To Voices CD

I've been hearing good things about these two, Anyone already a fan?
(Well they do make a rather good match)

Well they formed in 2004, but they have sure made a big bang. This is their third CD and its a definite winner. Their Single 'Cold' I seem to be hearing a lot over the radio and at first I thought it was a little strange, but now I am warming to it more and more every time. Their songs are fun and powerful. (One of them, 'It Gets Boring By The Sea' was featured in the amazingly funny film Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World)
This rock duo is going to go far if they keep up the music, and their punk style is even more quirky. The pair, Laura and Steven openly support 'Love Music Hate Racism' and anti-fascist campaign and have even played at Ladyfest before, which is a feminist festival
Their New Cd, 'In Time To Voices' is due out on 26th March 2012, pre-order it here, its an exclusive with Play, they have signed copies.

REVIEW: Avery Music

At only seventeen this girl has gotten very far already.

(Rock Chick look, she definitely looks older than she is)

Okay, so she currently hasn't got a CD out but I love her songs she has at the moment, and this is yet another singer/song-writer who made her fame on Youtube. Her Pop Rock music has definitely struck a chord and helped her to get signed up with a major Record label (one of the youngest to be signed up with Universal Motown)
She currently has two singles, 'Love me Or Let Me Go' and 'Go Screw Yourself (GSY)' which is my favourite. Also she has done a fantastic acoustic cover of 'Stereo Hearts'
Here is hoping she gets a CD out soon because I love her style, she reminds me of a new Avril Lavigne.
Here is the link to her single, 'Go Screw Yourself (GSY)'
And just because I love it so much, :) Here is her cover of 'Stereo Hearts'

REVIEW: King Charles - LoveBlood CD

I am now actually a little ashamed that I haven't heard of him before now, but browsing the new releases has it's advantages. Come across this guy and thought I'd check him out.

(Love the hair! Reminds me of a modern day Adam Ant)

His music is just so fun! This classic indie style is definitely the type of thing that you can imagine listening to on a bright sunny day. His style is a bit of a statement but that and his songs makes him 'an epic guy who is too cool for the Charts' (As he has been described) And let me tell you I agree. His music videos are so randomly formed that you just have to watch them, and I can't help seeing a resemblance to Adam Ant although their music styles do differ quite a lot. :P. I'd actually associate him more with Vampire Weekend.
He has been writing music since he was seventeen, and took on the name King Charles (His real name being  Charles Johnston) and is inspired greatly by Mahatma Gandhi and Alexander Bunker. He was originally in the band Adventure Playground, but is now going solo with his first Album. These old-school indie songs bring back some of the fun to music itself.
His album 'LoveBlood' will be due for release on 7th May 2012, Check out his singles 'LoveBlood', 'Mississippi Isabel' and 'Bam Bam'
Here is where you can pre-order his first CD
